Today, the postman came bearing gifts; specifically, the package of fragrance samples I bought from Amouage, the official perfumer of the King of Oman in the Middle East.  They shipped from the retail boutique in London via Royal Air Mail and arrived far sooner than I anticipated. Through one of the private businesses I control, we have a collectibles portfolio consisting of everything from the Carl Barks artwork I've told you about to rare books.  One of the things we acquire is the hard-to-find perfume factice bottles that used to be popular at department stores, especially those in the high-end spectrum, back in the 1980's and even 1990's.  They still exist to some degree but are a dying art, it seems. I've been looking for another fragrance house to augment the Creed and Bond families.  After a few references, I decided to have a sampler box of Amouage fragrances for men and women shipped from London so I can decide if I like them or not. They are the royally appointed Omani perfume house. Creed Spring Flower Review

Audrey Hepburn was the client behind the Creed Spring Flower fragrance.

Creed Spring Flower was created in 1951 as a signature scent for the adorable Audrey Hepburn, star of films such as Sabrina, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and My Fair Lady.  Hepburn reportedly wanted the famous House of Creed, which has served as the official perfumer to royalty dating back to 1760, to create a unique scent that was entirely her own and that looked cheerful and playful on her vanity.  With its bright pink bottle and gold cap, it is easy to identify this one-of-a-kind fragrance.  As … [Read more...]
