This instrument is called a Hang, or more commonly, a PANArt Hang due to the fact they are manufactured by a company called PANArt Hangbau AG. The Hang was invented in the year 2000 in Bern, Switzerland by Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer. This particular performer is named Daniel Waples and he is a street musician in Oslo, Norway.
I need to get on this. As a music major in college, this just shot up to the top of the list with my obsessions along with Baroque harpsichord music. If Aaron gets the Mbira he wants, we could form an alternate music group at the office.

Music is such a big part of my life. Last night, I went on a walk for three miles listening to Dr. Michael White’s Jambalaya. It’s wonderful; hands down one of my favorite pieces of music of all time. It’s on his newest album, which you can buy on iTunes.
