The #1 rated foodie stop in Denver, Colorado is the famous Little Man Ice Cream. Housed in a giant replica creamery urn, the ice cream is made in small batches and with natural ingredients. For every scoop of ice cream you buy, they donate a scoop of rice to impoverished nations. They have a handful of unique flavors and the quality was very good. After visiting the Denver Aquarium, we decided to swing by and cross it off the checklist of things that needed to be experienced in the city.

I kept hearing people recommend the Salted Oreo ice cream. It was good. A little too salty for my taste but I see why people love it.
I think we are going to head back to the hotel. At some point, we’ll go down for dinner (looks like we had dessert first tonight!). Otherwise, I’m not sure what the plans are.

I have lived in Colorado my whole life and walked by that place a ton. I had no idea it was so good. Guess an ice cream trip is in order
It's good. Personally, I prefer Dairy Queen blizzards but that is a different kind of ice cream so it's not fair to compare them any more than you can compare black coffee and a cappuccino. I think part of the appeal of the business for the customer base is that it is made in small batches, is supposed to be all natural, and is locally owned. I think the psychology is an important part of it. Were they some giant corporation, I don't think it would work as well or translate across the country as effectively. They do have excellent word-of-mouth; when we were there, the customers behind us had come from Los Angeles and had been told to try it, as well.
We were going to go back our last day in Denver but were sidetracked so I can only vouch for the maple flavor and the salted oreo, both of which were good. I had hoped to give Strawberry a try, but maybe next time I'm in town.

Aaron, who is addicted to ice cream, had told me about it in the past and absolutely wanted to see if it lived up to its reputation. Then, I saw that TripAdvisor ranked it as the #1 food establishment in any category in all of Denver out of 1,629 dining and snack options, so I was curious as to the crowd-source accuracy of it.
