The ceramic Mr. Monopoly bank I bought the other day (er … middle of the night) arrived earlier than expected. I love it. I wish there were Monopoly art and collectibles to the same degree there is with Scrooge McDuck thanks to the work of Carl Barks.
The ceramic Mr. Monopoly bank I ordered arrived! Now, just waiting on the lamp …

Joshua, I'm sure you've heard the news of Netflix losing over half a million subscribers and the stock plunging $40, or 19% today alone, and 40% since the announced price hike in June. I know you don't get too many opportunities to discuss management blunders (maybe the Yankee Candle/Halmark was the last time?), and I'd love to hear your thoughts as to whether you consider this managerial self-destruction or a sound long-term plan that entails a bumpy ride. Mostly, I'm interested in your thought process on this one.

I must be one of the few happy netflix customers on the price change....we only rent dvds and our price just went down $2/month. As an aside, I think this bodes well for my Wally Mart investment.
Since their purchase of Vudu 18 months ago, they have increased their online movie share from 1% to 5%. And have you followed the legal proceedings of WMT/NFLX? Wally Mart has some friggin genuises. I know the stock has done nothing for years but watch this space closely.
A CA judge has given Wally Mart tentative approval to pay their settlement claim to Netflix subscribers in the form of .68 cent gift cards. So for less than $1 per subscriber, Wally Mart gets the names and addresses of the 40M Netflix subscriber list at a time when some of their customers are less than happy.
Go Wally Mart!

I believe the Texas State Lottery had them commissioned and then gave them out as prizes or sold them but I could be mis-remembering that. There are a limited number, with matching lamps and other merchandise. I managed to find this one in an online auction.
I do know that the dimensions are 10.5" tall, 5" wide base, 4.25" deep, and that the bank was distributed by The Memory Company of Phenix City, AL. They have a phone number of 888-448-1480 listed on their website so if I were looking for one, I'd call them and see if they could point me in the right direction.
