The Thanksgiving Dinner Feast Was Awesome As host to the family Thanksgiving dinner this year, we spent the 36 hours before the day itself sleeping off an on to get everything ready. The sheer amount of flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, eggs, white wine, and heavy cream we went through was staggering. The counters…

The October panini study continues and I hit upon a huge winner today! It is like autumn distilled into a sandwich. It involves the same eight wheat bread I used yesterday in the blue cheese and plain turkey version, only the meat is a black pepper-edged smoked turkey, with slices of apple-smoked gouda cheese, mayonaise, cranberry chutney, arugula, and a drizzle of olive oil. It would be perfect if you have a cup of spiced cider or apple slices on the side.

After visiting the Guerlain boutique, we headed to Les Chefs de France in the French Pavilion at Epcot. You foodies who frequent the park already knew about it. Last year, we didn’t have a chance to try it so it was scheduled for this year’s trip to Walt Disney World.

I have always intended to order their coffee to try it for myself but it would slip my mind. During a recent episode of True Blood, I noticed it…

Texas knows cattle. Yesterday, I had the best cheeseburger I have ever had in my life. Literally. This evening, we did dinner at Bob’s Steak and Chop House in the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas, Texas. Two of us went with a New York Strip and two with the filet mignon and I have to…

Waco, Texas has some of the best cupcakes in the world. Who would have thought it? As I mentioned earlier, in the past couple of days, I’ve been in Oklahoma City, Fort Worth, Waco, and I am about to head to Dallas. Before leaving Waco, we stopped by a cupcake bakery that came highly recommended.…

The other night, while I was working, I caught an episode of the television series Supernatural. It was Season 5, when Dean meets Death; as in the rider of the pale white horse in the Book of Revelations during the end times apocalypse. He had been freed prior to the all-out destruction of the Earth because Lucifer…
